The Central Laboratory for Protein Analytics (ZfP) analyzes complete proteomes and complex protein mixtures using mass spectrometry. Our expertise ranges from the identification and quantification of individual proteins or post-translational modifications, through the mapping of protein-protein interactions, to the analysis of entire proteomes and imaging mass spectrometry.
A key focus of research at the ZfP is the development of new methods for extracting quantitative data from proteomic data. In the BMBF-funded CLINSPECT-M project, we analyze clinical samples to identify new biomarkers for the diagnosis of diseases such as strokes.
